Biography
Gregory R. Smith is an associate at Garfunkel, Wild & Travis, P.C., which he joined in 2002. As a member of the firm’s Compliance Group, he advises clients on a wide range of regulatory, compliance and corporate matters. Mr. Smith's practice primarily focuses on health care fraud and abuse matters, reimbursement matters, and corporate compliance. His practice includes the representation of hospitals, hospital alliances, academic medical centers, physician groups, and other health care providers.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Smith was an associate at Squadron, Ellenoff, Plesent & Sheinfeld, LLP, where he represented public and private companies in securities offerings, venture capital investments, and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission Reporting.
Mr. Smith received his B.A. in English from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1993, and his J.D., with distinction, from the Hofstra University School of Law in 1999. |
